Kara was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Trinity Episcopal High School in 2007 and went on to attend Virginia Commonwealth University. Kara enjoyed her time at VCU and took advantage of being in the School of Arts. During her college years, she participated in various trips offered by the Department including Fashion Week in Hong Kong, New York Retail Vendor Tour and Men’s Magic Fashion Trade Show in Las Vegas. Kara graduated from VCU with a BA in Fine Arts, Fashion Merchandising.
Kara worked in the restaurant industry part-time through both high school and college. This experience provided her with invaluable customer service skills. After graduating from VCU, she continued to work in the restaurant industry as she began exploring employment options using her degree and work experience.
Kara was recruited by the Law Office of Paul C. Galanides in 2020 because of her excellent communication skills and her advanced marketing training. As the office administrator, Kara ran the day-to-day operations of the law office for the first several months before assuming the additional responsibilities of marketing and client relations paralegal at the beginning of 2021. In the Spring of 2022, Kara went through the program at VCU and achieved her Paralegal Certificate.
